2016: A Year in Review

2016 was quite a year in the Bella offices! With over 20 weddings and events over the course of the year, we were thrilled to spend our year celebrating so much love and such fabulous couples. From Keystone to Beaver Creek to Aspen, Colorado was our playground, and you can bet we had a blast bringing all of these amazing events to life! Here’s a little peek into what we were up to over the past 12 months. We can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store! Continue reading

A Mountain Ranch Winter Wedding

In my mind the mountain winter wedding is IT, but it’s not for everyone.  Blizzards, icy roads, vendors stuck in crazy weather, female guests wearing 6″ heels teetering on the outside paths, none of this necessarily sounds appealing. But to some, the … Continue reading

Carey and Taylor’s Keystone Ranch Wedding

Carey and Taylor have know each other since high school but it wasn’t until the end of college that Carey realized (Taylor knew all along) that they were meant to be married. Their love, their sweet families enthusiasm and the sorority sisters cheers made this a powerful event. Congratulations Carey and Taylor!

Carey’s gorgeous freckles and red hair were styled beautifully by Christy Ogden.

A friend traded their notes before the ceremony- so close but not a look until she walked down the aisle.

The guitarist played Tom Petty’s “Here Comes My Girl” for the bridal processional.

The Keystone Ranch is one of my favorite locations for a Colorado photo shoot. The old miners’ cabins and the meadow grass are just lovely.

We installed a latte tent liner and embellished with a grapevine valance around the interior perimeter and glowing grapevine balls in the ceiling.

Victorian Wedding at the Keystone Ranch

One of my favorite parts of my job is seeing the photos come in from a wedding.  After 15 years in the business, I still never tire of it.  Julie Harris, a photographer who is supreme at capturing emotion, just released some images from Anastasia and Nicholas’s wedding at the Keystone Ranch this past July.  Anastasia is Russian and met Nicholas, who is second generation Lithuanian, at Thunderbird Business School.  We bonded quickly over my in-depth analysis of their Baltic roots, as my mother’s father was first generation Lithuanian and I’ve always felt close to the culture.  Over the years I often been told that I look Russian, so at the wedding I have to admit that I looked like the rest of the guests!  So where to begin?  Nicholas and Anastasia (pronounced “honest to see ya”) had a very distinct idea about how their wedding was to be presented.  They wanted their beloved books and a feeling of Rocky Mountain Victorian.  With much thanks to Nicholas’s mom, Jan, we accomplished this look and feel with stunning success.  Many, many best wishes to the lovely couple!  Го́рько!
