holidays-in-colorado

This time of year in Colorado is magical. The mountains are white and snowy and the fires inside are roaring. It’s truly enchanting. As a common destination spot for weddings and vacations, Colorado has a lot to offer in the winter. Here are some of the many reasons that the holidays in Colorado can be wonderful. I know I’m enjoying every minute in the mountains with my family this season!

Spectacular backdrops

Colorado is always photogenic, but in the winter, it’s really special. The snow-covered mountains and trees make a gorgeous backdrop for any occasion. This season, have your family portraits done, couples’ photos, engagements shoots, or even just impromptu phone pictures. Gather your group and take advantage of the wonderful photo ops.

Winter activities

Whether you’re getting married or just visiting, there are so many activities to enjoy. Of course, there’s skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing for the adventurous type. For those that prefer to take it easy, many accommodations offer private fireplaces for relaxing and sipping hot cocoa. However you choose to spend your time in Colorado during the holidays, there’s an activity for every personality.

Feelings of warmth and coziness

There’s something about winter, especially in Colorado, that makes you feel cozy. It’s the perfect time to bundle up with your loved ones or your significant other and keep warm. Watch the snow fall from the window, have a snowball fight, warm up with a hot drink, and just enjoy the magic.

Seasonal fashion

Sparkle and wintery layers make for fun holiday fashion in Colorado. For brides, a winter wedding can mean adding a fur shawl, dramatic sleeves, and jewelry that glitters like the snow. Bridesmaids may see more jewel tones or even a natural color palette to compliment the scenery. Hats, scarves, ear muffs, gloves, and all the different kinds of coats will add a wintery touch to your outfits during your holidays in Colorado.

If you’re thinking about a winter wedding, don’t miss these winter wedding destinations. And whatever you choose (or don’t choose) to celebrate, the Bella team wishes you happy holidays in Colorado and beyond! I hope this next week is filled with joy and cheer and most of all, love.
