The Lindsey Vonn Foundation 1980s Prom Event

At the end of March, we were delighted to pair up with The Lindsey Vonn Foundation once again. This time it was for the fourth annual fundraiser. After pulling off a 1960s après ski theme in 2017 and a ’70s glam party last year, it was time to celebrate the ’80s. We did it in style! The theme was ‘Big Hair Prom Affair’, so guests were invited to get out their white gloves and Aqua Net hairspray for a prom that would have done Andie and Duckie proud. The evening also included a silent and spirited live auction as well as lots of dancing!

Everyone who attended had so much fun! From photos beneath the balloon arch to dancing all night to the Jordan Kahn Orchestra, it was truly a night to remember. I’m so grateful to all the vendors who worked on this event with us! These include Bloom Flower Shop (who provided ’80s-style corsages – such fun!), Two Elk Studios, LeForce Entertainment, Amora Group, Elysium Weddings, PSAV and Kacey Picot. Not forgetting, of course, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail, our beautiful venue!

As the mother of a daughter myself, it means so much to me to be involved with the Foundation and support the important work they do. Lindsey established the foundation to support and empower girls. Not only through scholarships, sports and enrichment programs, but by helping them develop their passion and discover their inner strength. Hearing about the difference in confidence that the programs have made in girls who have participated is incredible!

One of those girls, Caroline Pellerito, was a special guest at this event. Having used her scholarship to attend an ice skating camp, she has not only improved her skating skills, but found the grit needed to work through an injury. Caroline joined Lindsey on stage for what was a memorable and emotional moment. Lindsey puts her whole heart into this Foundation and we are always so honored to be a part of it.
