Although most of the attention tends to fall on brides when it comes to wedding attire, we can’t neglect the grooms! Especially since these days there’s a lot more choice and flexibility in menswear. I love that this allows gents to be more fashion forward and express their personality through their groom attire choices. When it comes to mountain weddings, there are many ways you could go. For example, tweed is very much on trend and perfect for a fall or winter wedding with a rustic touch. Colored suits have also become more popular, with many grooms choosing navy over black, or opting for a bold jewel tone. Here are just a handful of the dapper groom looks we’ve spotted as Colorado wedding planners!
Light Mountain Neutrals

For a spring or summer mountain wedding, opt for a suit in a pale color like a soft grey, tan or taupe to keep things light and airy. This looks especially good if you’re planning an outdoor ceremony as light neutrals tend to work well against the mountain scenery. Don’t you love the way the groom on the right added a fun pop of color with his socks?)
A Touch of Plaid

No pattern says winter in the mountains quite like plaid, but your groom doesn’t need to go super casual with a plaid shirt to steal this style. Plaid makes for a perfect print on a tie or bow tie, or for a bolder look, opt for a retro plaid sport coat.
A Stylish Coat

For a snowy winter wedding, the bride’s wrap tends to get a lot of consideration, but don’t leave your guy out in the cold! A well tailored wool coat looks very handsome and will keep him warm (and chic too).
Fun Accessories

Many grooms prefer to opt for a more classic look, but they can still inject a bit of fun and personality with well-chosen accessories. I loved the stag pin worn by one of our grooms at his Colorado destination wedding!
The Classic Tux

Fashions may change, but a classic black tux never goes out of style! Even if you’re planning a mountain wedding in the midst of the most beautiful nature, a timeless tuxedo will never be out of place.
