There’s nothing more exciting than a couple that’s game for our Big Ideas. When we started working with Kedzie and Ed on their August 1, 2015 wedding at the Four Seasons in Vail, we knew we’d get along amazingly. Why? Because they were totally on board with walking down the aisle OVER the Four Seasons’ pool!

The blush, gold, black, and white color scheme was the perfect combination of elegant and modern, with a little bit (okay… a lot!) of sparkle thrown in for good measure. And if you know Kedzie and Ed, you know that the wedding of two people this fun and happy would have some sparkle!

Kedzie wore a stunning Monique Lhuillier gown that was beaded from head-to-toe. For the ceremony, she topped it with a tulle overskirt that gave the sleek silhouette a ball gown shape. She paired it with two sets of glitter-covered shoes: silver Keds for the couple’s first look, and strappy Christian Louboutins for her trip down the aisle.

For their first look, Kedzie and Ed met at the top of Vail Mountain, making the most of the gorgeous backdrop. And with photographer Nathan Welton of Dreamtime Images in tow, they had some amazing results. It may be the first time we’ve seen a photographer climb a tree to get the perfect overhead shot of our bride and groom!

We floated arrangements around the candle-lit aisle, and flanked the altar with arrangements of orchids, hydrangeas, and delphinium. At the bottom of the aisle, a boxwood wall featured antiqued mirrors that displayed guests’ table assignments. After the show-stopping ceremony, guests headed inside the Four Seasons for a glamorous reception full of gold and sequin accents.

We topped round tables with tall arrangements of white hydrangeas and roses, accented with gold-painted magnolia leaves, while rectangular tables got mirrored runners and low arrangements of the same selection of blooms. For the sweetheart table, we added a gold sequined tablecloth for an extra dose of shine, and draped garlands of magnolia leaves on the bride and groom’s chairs.

The pastry chef matched our theme perfectly with a wedding cake decked out in blush ruffles, gold sequins and modern sugar flowers. And of course, a party for this fun-loving pair wouldn’t be complete without late-night truffle fries!
