When Laura and Patrick chose the Rocky Mountains as the setting for their September wedding, they brought warm smiles, lots of laughter, and a whimsical, bohemian style with them from Madison, Wisconsin. They wanted sunshine, spectacular views, and a sense of fun, and that’s exactly what they got! Laura had her heart set on celebrating the outdoors, so we all headed up Keystone Mountain to Timber Ridge, at the top of the North Peak. The lush greenery was the perfect backdrop for the couple’s navy blue, peach, fuchsia, and pewter color palette, while natural touches like succulents and thistles gave the whole party lots of texture.
The bride donned a playful pocketed gown, which she accessorized with a crystal belt, lace sleeves for the ceremony, and a flower crown of cream blossoms and greenery. The groom dressed up his dark suit with a plaid tie.
Laura and her bridesmaids, in silvery floral-printed frocks, carried bright bouquets of garden roses, succulents, and thistles. King Proteas gave the bride’s bouquet an extra dose of whimsy and drama.
The ceremony took place on the Timber Ridge deck, with the mountains in the background. The couple’s sweet, sincere ceremony wasn’t without a few laughs, and after getting to know Laura and Patrick so well, we weren’t surprised!
Inside, we accented the lodge atmosphere with even more lush flowers, mixing peach and yellow hues in with the greenery to play up the late-summer vibe. Proteas, roses, thistles, and succulents cascaded down the cake and studded the garland of greens that Bloom Flower Shop created to decorate the head table.
Laura and Patrick’s infectious smiles and sense of fun made planning this wedding a pleasure — and an absolute blast!
