Best wishes to Sarah and Carlos on their gorgeous wedding in Beaver Creek! This is one of the nicest families I have ever encountered and I am so happy for them. Sarah and Carlos envisioned a winter wedding that celebrated the beauty of Colorado, so they chose Saddle Ridge for their reception. This property houses the country’s largest private collection of Western art. Throughout the venue one can find everything from vintage copper plates, first edition books, and native head dresses to antique bars, billiards and chaise lounges. This is a gem of a venue and provides a truly unique experience. I loved Sarah’s incorporation of pheasant feathers into her birch centerpieces and silver cake stands mixed in with wood votives all presented on a simple ice blue linen runner on bare wood tables surround by an eclectic mix of wooden chairs. I also loved the snowflake accents throughout. . . I think this Texas and New Mexico crowd enjoyed their winter escape. Big hug to the James Christianson film and photography team.
I love this image. Serenity in nature.Snowflake hair pieces for the bridesmaids. The oh so happy couple.Sarah chose a lovely color scheme of silver, grey, light blue and a pop of cranberry. The Beaver Creek Chapel was perfectly cozy.I loved the bride’s bouquet of Dusty Miller, Spray Roses, Freesia, Flox and Silver Brunia Berry. One of the bridesmaids’ gifts was a faux fur scarf. So cute!Props to Christy Odgen for another fabulous wedding of hair and makeup styling! The Griffin family looking so happy.A sweet gesture is for the bride and groom to exchange notes before the ceremony.Beaver Creek Ski Resort
The groom loves to fly fish so his bride and baker, Katy Schabert, designed an almost too lifelike trout groom’s cake.Pheasant feathers in the floral centerpieces. LOVE.Votives were displayed in hollowed out birch branches.Barnwood lanterns lined the stairs. The cake by Sugar is gorgeous. It was adorned in crystals, branches and snowflakes inspired by the invitations.
The perfect invitation suite designed by Richard’s Notebook.
I am an event planner located in Breckenridge, CO. I absolutely love my job and am amazed on a daily basis by the interesting work. Things I love. . . a job well done, Billy Collins poetry, discussing politics with my dad, reading historical fiction, listening to my children giggle, having martinis with my amazing girlfriends, trail running, simply being with my mom in any capacity, walking the streets of New York City and Paris, taking a full afternoon without interruption to prepare a dinner party, world music, John Coltrane, a bud vase of fresh flowers on my desk, telling stories with my huge family, listening to Neil Young around a campfire, going to concerts at Red Rocks, traveling to new places and always visiting at least one art gallery, going to the theatre, Broadway musicals are my favorite, being near a river and thinking, naps. . . being with my husband.
