Best wishes to Sarah and Carlos on their gorgeous wedding in Beaver Creek! This is one of the nicest families I have ever encountered and I am so happy for them. Sarah and Carlos envisioned a winter wedding that celebrated the beauty of Colorado, so they chose Saddle Ridge for their reception. This property houses the country’s largest private collection of Western art. Throughout the venue one can find everything from vintage copper plates, first edition books, and native head dresses to antique bars, billiards and chaise lounges. This is a gem of a venue and provides a truly unique experience. I loved Sarah’s incorporation of pheasant feathers into her birch centerpieces and silver cake stands mixed in with wood votives all presented on a simple ice blue linen runner on bare wood tables surround by an eclectic mix of wooden chairs. I also loved the snowflake accents throughout. . . I think this Texas and New Mexico crowd enjoyed their winter escape. Big hug to the James Christianson film and photography team.

The groom loves to fly fish so his bride and baker, Katy Schabert, designed an almost too lifelike trout groom’s cake.

The cake by Sugar is gorgeous. It was adorned in crystals, branches and snowflakes inspired by the invitations.
